An investigation was opened against Confederation of Progressive Trade Unions of Turkey (DISK) Chair Arzu Çerkezoğlu, who was previously prosecuted due to “public incitement towards resentment and hostility” due to a speech she gave in a panel she participated 3.5 years ago in Sapanca. The investigation against Çerkezoğlu was opened due to “insulting the President” this time, based on the same speech. Çerkezoğlu found out about the new investigation during the hearing she attended on October 14th.
