The first hearing of the trial of journalists Elfazi Toral, Sema Korkmaz, and Edanur Baydoğan, who are accused of “violating the Law on Demonstrations and Marches,” was held at the Istanbul 25th Criminal Court of First Instance. In her defense, Elfazi Toral stated that she was following a press conference and said that she was beaten despite identifying herself as a member of the press during the police intervention. The police officer continued with their complaint. The court postponed the hearing until April 14, 2026, to allow Edanur Baydoğan to be present.
