The investigation opened against journalist Melis Alphan due to a photo she shared as she was watching Newroz celebrations in Diyarbakır around six years ago, has turned into a lawsuit. The journalist will stand trial at Istanbul 32nd Assize Court with a claim of imprisonment for up to 7.5 years due to “making illegal organisation propaganda.”
