The hearing of Yeni Yaşam Newspaper editor Reyhan Hacıoğlu, who is on trial for “being an illegal organization member”, was held at Van 2nd Assize Court.
Hacıoğlu did not attend the hearing, while her lawyer Nazmi Ayaz was present. The court ruled for the continuation of the ban on leaving the country.
In addition, Welat Ekin, the owner of Güncel Medya Prodüksiyon (Güncel Media Production), where Hacıoğlu had a program, was ordered to be forcibly brought to the next hearing.
The court decided to wait for the expert report and adjourned the trial to January 6, 2026.
