The police referred Bilgi University student Hafize Çetin, who had been detained on the grounds of an interview she gave to Medyascope, to the courthouse on May 27. The court released Çetin under judicial supervision, requiring her to sign in every 15 days and prohibiting her from leaving the country. The prosecutor’s office filed charges against Çetin for publicly disseminating misleading information.
