The Constitutional Court (AYM) decided that the right to education of Yıldız Technical University student Ahmet Batur, who was suspended from school for allegedly “harming the honor and dignity of higher education institution personnel” for sharing a news story containing allegations about the university administration, was violated. The court further issued 5 thousand Turkish Liras of non-pecuniary damages to be paid to Batur.
TL also decided to pay non-pecuniary damages.
