Municipal employees R.Z., G.Ç. and Ö.G., who were detained in a bribery investigation into Kırıkkale Municipality’s Zoning and Urban Planning Directorate, were arrested. The Kırıkkale Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched the investigation after Y.K. complained that a bribe had been requested in return for licensing procedures. Contractors E.A., F.F. and F.B. also alleged that their municipal procedures had been delayed and that money had been demanded from them. The complainants said they sent the suspects 25,000, 120,000, 40,000 and 50,000 TL on different dates. Examination of bank records found that 1,056,880 TL entered R.Z.’s account in 180 transactions, 3,120,885 TL entered G.Ç.’s account in 101 transactions, and 156,211 TL entered accounts belonging to Ö.G. and his son in 100 transactions. Following a MASAK report and examination of bank transactions, the three municipal employees were detained and, after police and prosecutor procedures, were arrested by a judgeship and sent to prison.
