Bakırköy 7th Criminal Judgeship of Peace blocked access, with its decision dated 30 September 2026 and numbered 2026/9064, to the X accounts of the EngelliWeb project, journalists İrfan Değirmenci, Şirin Payzın, Burak Acerakis, Erdal Sağlam, Dinçer Gökçe, Sarya Toprak, Esra Tokat and Furkan Karabay, and bianet. The judgeship also ordered the removal of content on the grounds that the posts were capable of disrupting public order and encouraging the commission of crimes. X made some of the accounts unavailable in Türkiye. Access had also been blocked to İrfan Değirmenci’s and Şirin Payzın’s accounts on 16 September 2026 and to bianet’s account in March 2025.
