2nd Criminal Chamber of the Diyarbakır Regional Court of Justice rejected the appeal application of journalist Mazlum Dolan, who was sentenced to 7 years and 6 months in prison for “terrorist organization membership”. Dolan, who was a reporter for the previously shut-down Dicle News Agency, was stuck in Sur district of Diyarbakır due to the curfew declared, after he went there to follow news information, and was subsequently arrested. Dolan was convicted within the scope of the file he was imprisoned for 15 months, on the grounds that he “provided publications against the state with the news he sent and the visuals he recorded”.
