Müjde Tozbey, President of the Association for Children and Women, testified on April 2, 2026, at the Bakırköy Courthouse in Istanbul regarding her statements on the suspicious deaths of Fatma Nur Çelik and her daughter Hifa. In the investigation launched at the Ministry’s request, Tozbey stated that the child and the mother had been unable to access necessary protective and health measures. Tozbey emphasized that they had demanded the allegations of abuse be clarified, yet they themselves were being prosecuted.
