The appeal against the detention of journalist İsmail Arı was rejected on April 7, 2026. The Ankara 18th Criminal Court of First Instance ruled that the detention order was in accordance with legal procedures and the law. His lawyers announced that they would file an individual application with the Constitutional Court following the decision.
