Serkan Bebek, General Education Secretary of the All Teachers’ Union (TÖBSEN), has been exiled again by a high court ruling. Bebek, who has been exiled three times in four years due to assignments to different schools in Muş, Van, and Bursa, stated that although he was found to be in the right by the courts of first instance in the lawsuits he filed, the decisions were overturned by the high court. Bebek stated that he was targeted for his union activities, his work against ÇEDES, and his defense of secular education. Announcing that he would start a protest with his family in front of the Bursa Provincial Directorate of National Education, Bebek stated that he did not accept the new transfer decision.
