The Rectorate of Boğaziçi University requested that the Sports Committee (SK), Underwater Sports Club (BÜSAS), Music Club (BÜMK), and Fine Arts Club (GSK) vacate their rooms in Hamlin Hall. The Rectorate had announced that Hamlin Hall, which had been used as a dormitory for 154 years, would be converted into classrooms in August 2025. The clubs were informed that they had to vacate their rooms by Friday and move to the Hisar Campus. GSK and BÜMK members stated that the areas offered to them were inadequate in terms of infrastructure and usability. The clubs said the decision was aimed at reducing student spaces and announced that they would not abandon their workshops. The Boğaziçi University Student Representation Council called for a march and vigil in South Square on February 6.
