The protest and demonstration ban that started to be applied on November 21, 2016 in Van and is ongoing for 1,519 days was extended once again by the Governorate. Van Governorate banned all protests and demonstrations to be organised in the province until February 2nd due to the protection of “social health and public order.” On the other hand, the continuous protest ban ongoing in Hakkari was extended by the Governorate until January 30th.
