CHP Ankara Youth Branch members wanted to march to the Ministry of Justice on the 200th day of Ekrem İmamoğlu’s detention. The police prevented the march by blocking the roads leading to the ministry with barricades.
Upon the prevention, the young people started to march on Atatürk Boulevard, but they faced intervention there as well. There was a brief scuffle and the youth blocked the road to traffic.
CHP Ankara Provincial Chair Ümit Erkol said, “We are here against injustice and double standards. No one can stay in power without legitimacy.”
CHP Youth Branch Provincial Chairman Okan Türkmen said, “Today is a day when justice has been silenced for 200 days. This youth will not be silent and will continue to fight for justice.”
