The trial of Nurullah Efe, Chairman of the People’s Liberation Party, on charges of “insulting the President” was held on February 24, 2026, at the Istanbul 52nd Criminal Court of First Instance. The court determined that the indictments had not been served to the defendant in the case, which combined 14 investigations and 5 case files, and postponed the hearing to September 17, 2026, as no defense had been presented. After the hearing, party members made a statement in front of the courthouse.
