On February 24, 2026, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office issued arrest warrants for 16 people as part of an investigation into the FETÖ structure within the Gendarmerie General Command. MİT and police teams detained 10 suspects in an operation based in Ankara. Authorities announced that 5 suspects had fled abroad and that efforts to apprehend 1 person were ongoing.
