Judicial decree based on “child’s faithfulness to government” (!)

The assignment of a citizen who earned the right to be assigned as a public officer was not executed due to “not having been educated by his parents as a person faithful to the government.” The matter was carried to the judiciary and the court denied the case, stating, “The mother was not faithful to the government. As the mother was responsible of the child’s education until 18 years old, she did not raise her son as a person faithful to the government.” Gaziantep 2nd Administrative Court evaluated, “the complainant’s mother, who was detained due to protesting military operations, has raised her son in accordance with the targets of PKK-KCK terrorist organizations and that the child was significantly influenced by this education.”
