The Constitutional Court ruled that the freedom of expression of Türkan Albayrak had been violated, as she was dismissed while working at the Sarıyer District Health Directorate on the grounds of “security and archive investigation” and was repeatedly detained for the sit-in protest she initiated with a request for re-employment, and was sentenced to an administrative fine each time. Albayrak was detained 102 times during her 200-day protest.
