İbrahim, who lives in Osmaniye, applied to the police station for his stolen dog. However, after the police officers’ indifference and alleged assault, when asked for his ID number, he gave the ID number of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
This caused panic at the police station. The police interrogated İbrahim by saying “How do you know this information?”. İbrahim explained that he had learned the Turkish ID number of the President years ago **from the indictment in the file he was put on trial for the “There is a thief” banner he unfurled at a 2013 election rally**.
Following the incident, the prosecutor’s office filed a lawsuit against İbrahim for **”unlawful dissemination and seizure of personal data” (TCK 136)**. The Criminal Judgeship of Peace ordered İbrahim’s arrest despite his testimony.
His lawyer argued that this information was included in the official indictment and that he had learned it through the legal process, but the court did not forgive the fact that the President’s Turkish ID number was “mentioned in a GBT query”.
The fate of Abraham’s dog Jesika is still unknown.
