As the investigations against the CHP continue, another development took place in Izmir.
Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation against CHP Bornova District Chairman Ertürk Çapın and CHP Deputy Provincial Chairman Zeki Çağın for allegedly receiving money with the promise of municipal council membership.
Recep Solugan, a CHP member and delegate, claimed that 50 thousand liras was taken from him under the name of “donation” in exchange for the promise that he would be made a council member in February 2024.
In his complaint, Solugan stated that he met with Zeki Çağın in a vehicle and handed over the money, but he was not given any receipt and was constantly stalled afterwards.
Following the allegations, the prosecutor’s office launched an official investigation against Çağın and Çapın.
