Access to the concert footage of the band Manifest, which performed at KüçükÇiftlik Park in Istanbul on September 6, was banned.
The reason for the access ban imposed by the Ankara 6th Criminal Judgeship of Peace was announced as “protection of national security and public order”.
Following the concert, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office initiated an ex officio investigation, characterizing the dances and shows in the band’s stage performance as “indecent acts” and “exhibitionism”.
After giving their statements to the prosecutor’s office, the band members were released by the judge on duty with judicial control measures such as a ban on leaving the country and signature obligation.
Manifest, known as Turkey’s new ‘girl band’, was on the agenda last week when their concert in Erzurum was canceled by the municipality due to their stage attire.
