The Seferihisar Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office issued detention orders for 48 people over allegations of irregularities and bribery in construction, zoning, tender and direct procurement procedures at the municipality. In an operation carried out on the prosecutor’s instructions, 43 people were detained and efforts were launched to apprehend five people who could not be found at their addresses. Materials considered evidence in the investigation were seized during searches of the suspects’ addresses. Some suspects, including Seferihisar Mayor İsmail Yetişkin, had previously been arrested in the same investigation.
