Twenty-nine people were detained in an investigation targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Among those detained were Oktay Özel, Deputy Secretary-General of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, and Tuğba Ölmez Hancı, Director of the Parks and Gardens Department. The prosecutor’s office stated that the operation was carried out on the grounds that bids were rigged through Ağaç ve Peyzaj A.Ş.
