On April 1, 2026, access was blocked to a news report regarding meat imports from a company in which a member of the AKP holds a stake. The Sakarya 1st Criminal Court of Peace issued the ruling on grounds of national security and public order. The report stated that the Meat and Milk Board sourced the majority of its imports from Polonia Beef and that individuals associated with the company had ties to the AKP.
