Ramazan Demir, one of Selahattin Demirtaş’s lawyers, was sentenced to a total of 11 years and 3 months in prison on charges of “being a member of an armed terrorist organization” and “making organization propaganda” in a case heard at the Istanbul 14th Heavy Penal Court. Following the verdict, Demir reacted to the sentence in a post on his social media account. It was reported that the court’s reasoned decision would be announced later.
