A lawsuit was filed 3.5 years later against 27 people who participated in a commemoration event held in Istanbul on May 31, 2022, marking the 9th anniversary of the Gezi Resistance. The indictment included charges of “resisting to prevent the performance of duty,” “refusing to disperse,” and “illegal assembly.” Police intervened against the crowd gathered at the rally at the call of Taksim Solidarity, and many people were detained.
