A group, including a 1st rank MP candidate from the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) in Bolu, attacked the People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Provincial building and burned party flags. The police did not intervene the attack and many party members were stuck inside the building. HDP Provincial organization reported the incident from their Twitter account, writing, “They burned our flags chanting slogans supporting the government and the current President, accompanied by the police.” The attackers later performed a ‘Nationalism oath’. According to Mezopotamya Agency, Bolu Security Director didn’t give permission to hang flags around the building and said, “If you hang flags here I will take you into custody. I am also not responsible of what will happen.” The attack was organized after these statements of the police.
