Three different lawsuits have been filed against Beştaş at Adana 2nd, 8th and 21st Criminal Court of First Instance within Article 301 of the Turkish Penal Code (TCK) due to the statements she made on different dates; the MP has been sentenced to 2 years and three months of imprisonment in the lawsuit at the 8th Criminal Court of First Instance. Following the verdict of conviction, the case file has been sent to Adana Regional Court and the sentence has been abated for the file to be merged with the other lawsuit files to be sent back to the local court.
