People’s Democratic Congress (HDK) Co-Spokesman Prof. Dr. Onur Hamzaoğlu stood trial in the second hearing of the lawsuit against him at Adana 25th Criminal Court of First Instance due to a speech he gave in Adana. Hamzaoğlu is charged with “publicly denigrating governmental institutions and GNAT” through his criticisms of wrong politics by the Justice and Development Party (AKP), incidents in Cizre, Sur and the surroundings during the curfews during his speech within the April 16 referendum.
Hamzaoğlu is arrested at Sincan Type-F Closed Prison within another file, therefore attended the hearing through the Audiovisual Information System (SEGBIS). The next hearing was scheduled to November 15th.
