The first retrial hearing of the lawsuit filed against Çetin Kurşun, a reporter for the previously shut-down Azadiya Welat Daily, was held on the charge of “terrorist organization membership”. Kurşun and his lawyer were excused from the meeting. Due to the temporary nature of the court board, the case was adjourned to January 27, 2022.
