Independent Mining Labour Union Organisation Expert Başaran Aksu was sentenced to five months of imprisonment in the lawsuit filed against him at Soma 2nd Criminal Court of First Instance due to “public incitement towards committing crimes” through a speech he gave during the protest of mining workers, who fought for their unpaid salaries and compensation after the disaster in Soma district of Manisa.
