Singer Fatih Karaca, known as Mabel Matiz, gave a statement at the Istanbul Courthouse as part of an “obscenity” investigation launched over the lyrics and music video of his song “Ha Leylim.” The prosecutor’s office referred Matiz to a criminal judgeship of peace with a request for judicial control in the form of a ban on leaving the country. The judgeship imposed a travel ban on Matiz. The artist had previously been tried on the same charge over his song “Perperişan” and was acquitted.
