According to the report of the Media Research Association (MEDAR), which examined 1197 access ban decrees issued against 36 websites in a year after the social media censorship regulation that came into effect in October 2020, the content that were censored and removed the most was on “corruption and irregularity”. It was stated that censorship requests mostly came from business people, companies and bureaucrats.
