A lawsuit was filed against two citizens, who reacted on social media against the statement of the Adana Governorate, which claimed that Ali al Hamdan, who was killed by being shot with a police bullet, was shot by accident. The two citizens were charged with “insulting a public official”. Reminding the Adana Governor of the time, Mahmut Demirtaş, that the criminal complaint they made for misinforming the public was not processed, lawyer Tugay Bek stated that it was considered a crime for the citizens to react to this situation while the evidence was still on the Governorate’s website.
