Journalists Aydın Keser, Ferhat Çelik, Murat Ağırel, Barış Pehlivan and Hülya Kılınç were sentenced to prison on charges of “disclosure of information and documents related to intelligence activities” due to the news about a Turkish National Intelligence Agency member who died in Libya. The journalists’ appeal against their sentence was denied by the 4rd Criminal Chamber of Istanbul Regional Court.
