A university student was detained in Ankara on April 1, 2026, for social media posts opposing the NATO Summit. The prosecutor’s office charged the student with inciting the public to hatred and hostility through anti-NATO statements. University students supporting the student, who was released after questioning, called for a protest on Yüksel Street on April 2.
