The Antalya branches of the Human Rights Association (İHD), the Lawyers’ Association (ÇHD), and the Lawyers’ Solidarity Association (ÖHD) issued a statement on April 1, 2026, in front of the Antalya Courthouse against human rights violations in high-security prisons. The organizations stated that severe isolation conditions threaten the health of prisoners and that hunger strikes have reached a critical stage. It was reported that Tahsin Sağaltıcı, Gürkan Türkoğlu, and Hüseyin Özen have been on hunger strike for hundreds of days and are experiencing serious health issues. The organizations called on the Ministry of Justice and relevant authorities to fulfill the prisoners’ transfer requests and put an end to isolation practices.
