Kept “in custody” since 23 May 2017 with a police blockade, the Human Rights Monument in Ankara was released. Police barricade around the monument was removed, whereas the mobile police station right next to the monument remains. The monument, located on Yüksel Street, has become a symbol for the protests made by public workers after their dismissal from public service with Statutory Decrees issued within the State of Emergency.
