The first hearing of the lawsuit filed against five people, including journalist Gökhan Öner, was held at Denizli 2nd Assize Court with charges of ‘illegal organization membership’ and ‘illegal organization propaganda.’ The court decided for Öner, who is arrested for about three months, to be released with judicial supervision and issued the judicial supervision on other defendants to be removed, scheduling the next hearing to 3 March 2019. Öner was a reporter for Dicle News Agency (DIHA), which was shut down with a Statutory Decree issued within the State of Emergency, and was arrested on May 5th within the case file.
