The first hearing of the trial of lawyer Rezan Epözdemir, who is accused of “facilitating bribery,” was held at the 5th Criminal Chamber of the Court of Appeals. The court ruled that Epözdemir, who is detained in Silivri, should remain in custody. Former prosecutor Cengiz Çallı, who is also being tried as part of the same investigation, was arrested during the hearing.
