Eğitim Sen calls for reinstatement: “The demand for peace is not a crime”

Eğitim Sen reacted to the fact that academics who were dismissed for signing a peace declaration and public employees who were suspended during the state of emergency have still not been reinstated. The union drew attention to the contradictory decisions of the Council of State, stating, “The law must be valid outside the courtroom as well.” Education Sen emphasized that violations of freedom of expression and association continue, that legal association membership cannot be used as grounds for dismissal, and that suspensions are carried out for political reasons.
