Authorities have launched an investigation into social media accounts that shared manipulative content about Turkey following the attacks on Iran. In the operation, conducted in coordination with the Presidency’s Communications Directorate, the National Police, and prosecutors’ offices, 21 accounts were identified as engaging in disinformation and psychological operations. Authorities blocked access to these accounts and initiated criminal investigations against the users. Security agencies have also blocked access to more than 400 accounts since February 28 for similar reasons.
