The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) convicted Turkey of making sexual discrimination and sentenced 11 thousand Euros of moral compensation.
Hülya Ebru Demirel has applied to the court due to the cancellation of her assignment as security officer even though she passed the exam for public work. The ECtHR decided that Turkey has violated the discrimination ban, regulated with Article 14 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
