The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation into posts on Dilan Polat’s Instagram account on charges of “obscenity.” On June 6, the Ankara Criminal Court of First Instance ruled to block access to the entire account. The court ordered the account to be completely shut down, reasoning that simply removing the content would not be sufficient, and decided that the ruling should be enforced by the Information and Communications Technologies Authority (BTK).
