Doruk Mining workers staged a protest on June 4 in Ankara in front of Yıldızlar SSS Holding to demand unpaid wages and compensation. Police blocked the workers, who had intended to march from Beypazarı, and kept them under siege. CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, TİP Chairman Erkan Baş, DEM Party Deputy Group Chair Sezai Temelli, EMEP MP Sevda Karaca, and representatives from various political parties expressed their support for the workers. While the company announced that the claims had been paid, the union has not yet confirmed this information.
