Tele2 Haber, founded on 15 November 2025 by journalists who resigned from TELE1, decided to end its broadcasts because of economic difficulties. Tele2 Haber broadcaster Murat Taylan said they were downsizing the team because of economic conditions and would be unable to pay the license fee required by the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) by the end of the legal period. Taylan announced that they had therefore decided to end Tele2 Haber broadcasts on the internet and social media and halt efforts to establish a television channel.
