Sivas Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office started an investigation against Atakan Polat, who announced his conscientious objection on 29 December 2014, the anniversary of the Roboski Massacre.
Denying the objection Polat made on the administrative fine against him due to draft evasion, the Criminal Judicature of Peace made a criminal complaint against the conscientious objection statement attached to the letter of objection. Polat is charged with ‘making terrorist organization propaganda’ within the investigation started.
