The CHP Party Assembly decided to refer 50 party members to the High Disciplinary Board with a request for permanent expulsion. The decision was taken during the period when Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was placed in charge of the party administration by a court ruling. Those referred were alleged to have promoted Yeni Parti while their CHP memberships remained active. The list included former party officials and members such as Selin Sayek Böke, Yalçın Karatepe, Serkan Özcan, İlhan Cihaner, and Yankı Bağcıoğlu. The High Disciplinary Board was to decide whether they would be expelled after receiving their defenses.
