Fifteen of the 25 people detained in a corruption investigation targeting the Eskişehir Tepebaşı Municipality were arrested on May 19. The Criminal Court of First Instance issued arrest warrants for the 15 individuals, who included municipal officials and employees. Ten others were released on judicial supervision. As part of the investigation, police discovered a room buried underground in the garden of one of the municipal officials’ homes, along with nine cryptocurrency mining devices.
